Roshni Scheme
The Ministry of Minority Affairs has started implementation of a scheme “Nai
Roshni” for Leadership Development of Minority Women from 2012-13. The scheme
aims to empower and instil confidence among minority women by providing
knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government systems, Banks
and other institutions at all levels. The scheme is implemented through
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Since 2012-13, the details of physical

As per the existing guidelines, the scheme is implemented with the involvement
of the Gram Panchayat at village level and Local Urban bodies at the District level.
For the publicity of the scheme, the Ministry has published advertisements
through Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) on 06.02.2012,
08.03.2013, 06.06.2013 and 12.03.2014. In addition, a video spot on Nai Roshni
scheme was also telecast on electronic media in Hindi and regional languages
all over the country during 2013-14.

Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Offers ‘Chaadar’ at Ajmer Sharif on Behalf of PM
Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs yesterday presented a 'Chaadar' on behalf of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the Dargah of Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty at Ajmer Sharif on the occasion of 803rd annual Urs. A large number of people present on the occasion showered flower petals from their houses and shops to welcome Shri Modi’s ‘Chaadar’ and message for world peace and social harmony and inclusive growth. Shri Naqvi said the Prime Minister gave his best wishes for success of the annual Urs.
Shri Naqvi read out the message of Prime Minister in which Shri Modi greeted the people on the occasion of the annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and said, ''India has been a land of sages, saints and prophets for thousands of years. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti carried forward this tradition and gave message to all the people belonging to different religions to live with love and peace''. Shri Modi wished India to be the top country in the world and the benefit of the development reaches to all the people of the country. In his message, the Prime Minister said Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's message of peace and harmony was relevant even today.
Addressing the gathering after offering the ‘Chaadar’, Shri Naqvi said the Prime Minister is committed to take the nation forward on development path. Light of development should be taken to the last person of the society. This is our pledge and message.
Reiterating the Prime Minister’s commitment and prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity of the entire world, Shri Naqvi said the Prime Minister is working honestly to make India ‘’Shrestha Bharat’’ and blessings of sufi-saints will help in achieving this target.
The Minister said terrorism is the enemy of world peace, progress and human values. We all have to come together to destroy this evil of terrorism. He said India has been a country of sufi-saints and evil forces will not be able to succeed here in their nefarious activities. Every religion and every region of the country is committed to defeat any kind of conspiracy against the humanity in the shield of religion.

Organisations (NGOs). During 2012-13 and 2013-14, for which the data has been

SEEKHO AUR KAMAO
The scheme is implemented by
selected private Professional Skill Development Organisations/companies. The scheme
ensures employment of minimum 75% trained candidates, and out of them 50% in
organized sector. The scheme reserves minimum 33% seats for minority women.
During 2013-14, 20,164 minority youths were trained under the scheme. Ministry
compiles the community-wise data on receipt of information from Project
Implementing Agencies. During 2013-14, for which the data has been received,
the community-wise percentage was as follows:
