The following Notification will be published in an extraordinary
issue of Telangana State Gazette.
NOTIFICATION
The
Government hereby order that 19.08.2014 (Tuesday)
shall be General Holiday to the Government Offices/Schools/Colleges including
Banks under Negotiable Instruments Act located in Telangana State including GHMC area in connection with Intensive Household Survey.

In
pursuance of the discussions during the meeting held on 01.08.2014, Government
have decided to conduct an ‘Intensive
Household Survey’, covering all the households in the Telangana State for
creating a reliable and accurate database in order to facilitate effective
implementation of various Government programmes and to ensure that the benefits
reach the eligible deserving people. In
this regard, instructions were already issued to all the Collectors for
completing the training programmes and preparatory works and the formats for the survey were already finalized by
Department of Planning and Department of Rural Development.
2. In this connection, Government have
also decided to appoint Special Officers to supervise various activities to be
taken up from 14.8.2014 to 6.9.2014 before,
after and during the survey scheduled
for 19.08.2014 in each of the districts, as follows:-

ORDER:
The
orders issued in the G.O. 3rd read above are hereby modified and the
following revised notification is issued.
NOTIFICATION
In
exercise of the powers conferred under A.P. Shops and Establishments Act, 1988
and Section 3(2) of A.P. Factories and Establishments (National Festivals and
Other Holidays) Act, 1974, Government of Telangana State hereby declare a
General Holiday on 19.08.2014 (Tuesday) to all the employees / workers employed
in Private Establishments and Factories through out the Telangana State
including the GHMC Area on account of Intensive Household Survey, 2014.
2. The
Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad and Director of Factories,
Telangana, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action, accordingly.
