ORDER

In the G.O. read above, the Fin. (A&L) Deptt., have released an amount of Rs.10-00 Lakhs for sanction of Advances towards Educational Loan for the Year 2012-13.

1. Secretariat & Heads of Departments                   3.00 Lakhs

2. Regional & Dist. Offices.                                       7.00 Lakhs

2. Keeping in view of the cadre strength of the Heads of Departments, and also keeping in view of the cadre strength of Regional/District Offices, which are under the control of this Department, an amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs allocated by the Fin. Dept., in the above G.O. is hereby redistributed as detailed in the Annexure to this order including to Sectt. Dept.

3. All the Heads of Departments are requested to keep the following principals in view while sanctioning the Educational loans to the staff members under their control and also the relevant rules in force.

          i) The Heads of Departments should not utilize the amount allotted to                    

              the employees of District/Regional Offices for sanctioning of Loans 

              for the Educational Purposes to the employees working in H.O.Ds.

          ii) The other terms and conditions stipulated in the G.O.Ms No.235, Fin.  

              (A&L) Department Dated. 22-08-1983 and G.O.Ms No.370, Fin. 

            (A&L) Department Dated.13-10-1990 except the conditions 

             mentioned in the G.O.(P) .No.175, (A&L) Department Dt.15-05-2010 

             i.e., that the advance shall be recovered in a 8 monthly Installments  

             commencing from the month in which the advance is drawn will 

              continue

4. The expenditure on account of sanction of the Educational Advance shall be debited to “7610-Loans to Government Servants – SH – 800 – Other Advances S.H.(10) – Advances for Non-Gazetted Officers for Education of their Children and other miscellaneous purposes – 001 – Advances for N.G.O’s Educational of their Children and other miscellaneous purposes”.

5. This order does not require the concurrence of Finance (A&L) Department as per orders and rules in force on the subject.
