A B S T R A C T
STRIKES - Prohibition of strikes in all services under the Transmission Corporation
of Andhra Pradesh Limited and Four Distribution Companies under the provisions
of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (A.P.Act 20 of
1971) for a period of (6) months – Orders – Issued.

ORDER:
The following Notification will be published in an Extra-ordinary Issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 24.07.2012.
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, in the G.O.read above the Government have declared any service
in Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and four Distribution
Companies as an essential service under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh
Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971, (A.P.Act No.20 of 1971);


2. And whereas, the Government are satisfied that it is necessary and expedient
to prohibit strikes in public interest, in any services in Transmission Corporation of
Andhra Pradesh Limited and four Distribution Companies for a further period of six
(6) months;


3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and
(3) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971
(A.P.Act 20 of 1971), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibits strikes
in all the services under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited
and four Distribution Companies in Andhra Pradesh for a period of six (6) months
with effect from 24.07.2012.
