O R D E R
The Revenue Department have stated that the Executive Officer, Tirumala
Tirupati Devasthanams has reported that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams
procures around 2.90 lakh Kgs of flowers per year for making garlands etc. to
adorn the idols of various temples in Tirupati and Tirumala. They have further
stated that nearly 800 Kgs., of flowers are consumed per day on an average. A
Flower Tier will tie around 7 Kgs., of flowers as garlands, bouquets, etc., in a day.
For tying 800 Kgs., of flowers, about 115 Flower Tiers are required. At present,
there is only one post of Flower Tier. The total requirement of Flower Tiers is 150,
including leave reserve, etc. This work is now being executed by engaging
Gardeners. The T.T.D. Board in its Res. No.752, dt:14.03.2009, resolved for
upgradation of 100 posts of Gardeners to that of Flower Tiers and recommended
the Government for approval.

2. The Government after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord
sanction for up-gradation of 34 (thirty four) posts of Gardeners (being 1/3rd of the
proposed 100 posts) to that of Flower Tiers in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in
the Scale of Pay of Rs.7740-23040 in R.P.S., 2010, in the first phase

3. The Revenue Department shall take further necessary action accordingly.
