Agricultural Marketing Department – Rythu Bandhu Pathakam –
Enhancement of the maximum ceiling of Rythu Bandhu Pathakam Loan
amount from 50,000/- to Rs.1,00,000/- and reducing the rate of interest
to 3% for all the loans and cash credits exceeding Rs.50,000/- instead of
Rs.20,000/- on a simple mortgage of land – Orders – Issued.

ORDER:-
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued revised
guidelines for implementation of the Rythu Bandhu Pathakam against
pledge of stocks in Market Yard Godowns to the farmers, till the secure a
reasonable price for their produce.
2. The Commissioner & Director of Agricultural Marketing, A.P.,
Hyderabad in the letter 2nd read above has requested the Government to
enhance the maximum ceiling of Rythu Bandhu Pathakam Loan amount
from Rs.50,000/- to Rs.1,00,000/- and to reduce the rate of interest to 3%
for all the loans from 91 days onwards if they lift the produce within a
period of 180 days, if not, a penal interest of 12% will be charged on loan
from 91 days onwards upto 270 days, after 270 days the AMCs shall have
the right to dispose off the produce and recover the loan from the sale
proceeds and also requested for cash credit exceeding Rs.50,000/- instead
of Rs.20,000/- on a simple mortgage of land shall be insisted in the
interest of farming community.
3. Government after careful consideration of the proposal of
Commissioner & Director of Agricultural Marketing, A.P., Hyderabad,
hereby enhance the maximum ceiling of Rythu Bandhu Pathakam Loan
amount from Rs.50,000/- to Rs.1,00,000/- and to reduce the rate of
interest to 3% for all the loans from 91 days onwards if they lift the
produce within a period of 180 days, if not, a penal interest of 12% will be
charged on loan from 91 days onwards upto 270 days, after 270 days the
Agricultural Market Committees shall have the right to dispose off the
produce and recover the loan from the sale proceeds and cash credits
exceeding Rs.50,000/- instead of Rs.20,000/- a simple mortgage of land
shall be insisted duly following the other guidelines / conditions issued in
G.O.Ms.No.153, Agri. & Coopn. (Mktg.II) Dept., dt.20.5.1999.
