O R D E R:
In the G.O. 2nd read above, orders have been issued providing 0.25% reservation to the
Police Martyrs Children (PMC) i.e. Children of Police personnel who died in
extremist / terrorist violence, in Medical and Dental courses, subject to
production of documentary evidence in support of their claim and subject to confirmation
by the competent authority” In the letter 3rd read above, the
Director General of Police has reported that, among others, that the
reservation facility will be extended only to those candidates who have the
certificate issued by the Deputy Inspector General (SIB) / Deputy Inspector
General (CI Cell), Hyderabad to claim the reservation under the said PMC
(Police Martyrs Children) category.
The Government after careful
examination of the proposal have decided to amend the Andhra Pradesh Unaided
Non-Minority Professional Institutions (Regulations of Admissions into Under
Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses) Rules, 2007 defining the
competent authority in respect of ‘CPM’ (Children
of Police Martyrs).
Accordingly, the following
notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh
Gazette, Dated 23-07-2013.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred
by sections 3 and 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation
of Admissions and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (Andhra Pradesh Act
No. 5 of 1983), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following
amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Un-aided Non-Minority Professional Institutions
(Regulations of Admissions into Under Graduate Medical and Dental Professional
Courses) Rules, 2007 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 136, HM&FW.(E1) Dept., dated the
30 th April, 2007 and published in the Rules supplement to
Part-I, Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 2nd May 2007.
AMENDMENT
(i) After item (iv) under NOTE in
sub rule 3 (b) of Rule 9 of G.O.Ms. No. 136, HM&FW (E1) Dept, dt.
30-4-2007, the following shall be added:-
v. CPM(Children of Police Martyrs) ... DIG(SIB)/ DIG(CI
cell)
(ii) The words ‘After sub rule (iv)
of Rule 3 of G.O.Ms. No.136, HM&FW (E1) Dept, dt. 30-4-2007, the following
sub rule shall be added;’ occurring beneath the heading ‘Amendment’ in G.O.Ms.
No. 106, HM&FW (E1) Dept, dt. 16-7-2013 shall be substituted with the
following:
‘After sub sub rule (iv) of Sub Rule 3 (a) of Rule 9 of
G.O.Ms.No.136, HM&FW (E1) Dept,dt. 30-4-2007, the following shall be added;

O R D E R:
In the letter 2nd read above, the Director General of Police, A.P.,
Hyderabad has requested to consider
providing 2% of reservation to the children
of the Police personnel died in
extremist violence in admission in Medical, Dental,
Veterinary, Agriculture and
Horticulture courses in Medical Colleges and other
professional courses as was done in
the Engineering stream of education by
clubbing with CAP reservation to
enable these unfortunate and disadvantage
children to get admissions in the
Medical stream of education which will go a
long way in providing relief to the
families of the Police personnel died in
extremists violence.
2. In the letter 3rd read above, the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health
Sciences, Vijayawada has informed
that the Government has to take a decision
with regard to providing
reservation to “Police Matyr’s Children (PMC)”.
However, 1% of seats may be
reserved for this category on par with the
percentage of reservations to NCC
and CAP in admissions into MBBS and BDS
Course. The matter has been
discussed with Vice-Chancellor, Dr. NTRUHS and it
has been suggested to limit the
reservation to 0. 25% instead of 1%.
3. The Government after careful
examination of the proposal have decided
to include 0.25% reservation /
quota to the children of police personnel, who
died in extremist / terrorist
violence.
4. Accordingly, the following
notification will be published in an
Extraordinary issue of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette, Dated 19-7-2013.
