ORDER:
The following Notification shall be published
in the Extraordinary Issue of the Telangana State
Gazette, on 20th June, 2014.
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the term of the four members
nominated by the Governor to the Legislative Council
has expired on 29.03.2013, of which
three vacant posts were filled up with namely Sri Nandi Yellaiah, Sri
Kantheti Satyanarayana Raju and Smt.T.Ratna Bai vide
G.O.Ms.No.61, General Administration (Elecs.F) Department, dt.3.3.2014 leaving one
vacancy not filled.
And whereas, the Governor of Telangana has
nominated one person to the Legislative Council
under sub-clause (e) of clause (3) of Article 171 of the
Constitution of India,
read with Clause (5) of that article;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 74 of
the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Act 43 of 1951), the Governor of Telangana
hereby notifies
Sri Naini Narasimha
Reddy as the member so
nominated:

As per the Section 23 of the Andhra Pradesh
Reorganization Act, 2014, six seats each have been
allocated to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States under Members to be nominated by
the Governor and in the fourth schedule to the said Act, 5 existing members
were allotted to Andhra Pradesh and 3 existing members were allotted to
Telangana State.
In the reference 2nd cited three vacant posts were filled up with
namely, Sri Nandi Yellaiah, Sri
Kantheti Satyanarayana Raju and Smt.T.Ratna Bai, out of the four vacancies leaving one
vacancy not filled. Secretary, Legislature notified one
vacancy arisen due to the
resignation of Sri Nandi Yellaiah on 22-5-2014.
In view of the above, the Governor of
Telangana has filled the said two vacancies by nominating
Sri Naini Narsimha Reddy and Sri Sabavat Ramulu Naik under the Governor’s quota
for Telangana Legislative Council.
Accordingly, the following
notification shall be published in the extraordinary issue of the
Telangana State Gazette, dated:20.6.2014.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-clause (e) of clause (3) of article 171 of the
Constitution of India, read with Clause (5) of that article. I, E.S.L. Narasimhan,
Governor of Telangana hereby nominate the following Two (2)
persons to be Members of
the Telangana Legislative Council:
(1) Sri Naini Narsimha Reddy In place of 1 Member retired on 29.03.2013.
(2) Sri Sabavat Ramulu
Naik S/o Late Laxman Naik
In place of Sri Nandi
Yellaiah who resigned on 22.05.2014.
