 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

PRISM (Promoting Innovations in Individuals, Start-ups and MSMEs) scheme of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India aims to support individual innovators, autonomous institutions, registered societies and MSME so as to achieve the agenda of inclusive development. The scheme is implemented through a set of TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Centres (TOCICs). PRISM provides grants, technical guidance and mentoring to individual innovators and technology solution providers for developing and incubating ideas/technologies/solutions for energising the MSME sector. The TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Centre at CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute invites applications under PRISM as below.

Scope and Eligibility:

PRISM Phase I Category-I: Proof of Concept/ Prototypes/ Models Maximum support may be limited to 2.00 lakh or 90% of the total project cost whichever is lower. (Total Project Cost below Rs 5 lakhs)	Any Indian citizen including student innovator can avail support to develop their novel idea into demonstrable models/prototypes.
PRISM Phase I Category-II: Fabrication of working model/process know-how/ testing and trial/patenting/technology transfer etc. Maximum support may be limited to 20.00 lakh or 90% of the total project cost whichever is lower. (Total Project Cost from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 35 lakhs)	Any Indian citizen having innovative ideas.
PRISM Phase – II (Scaling up Technology based Innovations) Maximum support upto 50 lakhs or 90% of total project cost whichever is lower	Successful PRISM innovators or innovators who have successfully demonstrated proof of concept with support from government institutions
PRISM R&D Proposals Maximum support upto 50 lakhs (limited to 50% of total project cost) for developing technology solutions for MSME clusters	Public funded R&D institutes/autonomous institutes/ academic institutions

 Guidelines and Submission of Applications:

The details for submission e.g. guidelines and application forms can be downloaded from the website www.cgcri.res.in Eligible applicants are requested to submit applications, complete in all details to the TOCIC within 20th August, 2014. Student innovators from schools, colleges and universities are particularly encouraged to apply through their head of the institutions under the designated category. Mentoring session for the prospective applicants can be arranged at the TOCIC through prior appointment till 30th July, 2014.
