ORDER:
In the references 1st to 4th read above, orders have been issued enhancing the scale of assistance to the victims of natural disasters in the State.
2. In the reference 5th read above, orders have been issued enhancing the scale of assistance to the affected families of the “Very Severe Cyclonic Storm HUDHUD” duly considering the magnitude of loss it has caused.
3. The District Collectors of the affected districts have reported that this calamity has affected a very large area because of heavy gale and continuous down pour for more than two days causing wide spread damages/losses many community properties / public infrastructure belonging to various departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Housing, Fisheries, TR & B, Panchayat Raj, Irrigation, Handlooms and Textiles, Welfare depts., Education, Health and Municipal Administration etc. besides widespread damages to a number of houses that got marooned/ inundated/damaged. This calamity has also resulted in human loss.
4. In the reference 6th read above, taking in to consideration of the above categories of affected areas, after careful examination of the prevailing scale of gratuitous relief provided to the affected families, decided to issue modified
orders to provide appropriate gratuitous relief to the affected families.
5. In partial modification of the orders issued vide reference 5th read above, the Government after careful examination, decided to amend the item (e) of Table II, and categorize the prevailing gratuitous relief to the victims of Hudhud cyclone
according to the category of affected villages as ‘severely affected’ and ‘partially affected’ villages. The villages, which have more than 50% of the households affected, will be categorized as ‘severely affected’ villages. The villages which
have less than 50% of the households affected will be categorized as ‘partially affected’. The scale of assistance according to the category of the affected village as a special case, shall be as hereunder:

6. The revised scales of gratuitous relief shall come into force with effect from 17.10.2014 onwards for the items expressly mentioned in the table above and for the remaining items the scale of assistance as provided vide reference 4th and 5thread above holds good as the case may be.
