O R D E R :-

The Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad in his letter 2^nd read above, has stated that the Police Commemoration Day is observed on the 21^st October, every year, to pay homage to the brave policemen, who lay down their lives in the service of the nation.  The A.P.Police Department has been observing that day by organizing Commemoration Day Parades at various locations to pay homage o the martyrs and the occasion is also used to make general public aware of the sacrifices made by policemen, by organizing essay writing competitions on police related subjects, arranging film shows highlighting the work of police etc., during the Police Commemoration week culminating in the Police Commemoration Day.  General Public is also invited to participate in he welfare of policemen and their families by contributing a token amount for each flag and car stickers, on the occasion and they have selling those flags & car Stickers every year with the permission of the State Government.

2.   Government, after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord permission to the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad to Print 11 lakh Flags and 14,000 Car Stickers  and to receive donations/contributions @ Rs.10/- per Flag/Car Stickers.  He is also permitted to received donations/contributions @ Rs.10/- per each Flag/Car stickers and to utilize the donations/contributions so received fro the welfare of the families o the deceased police personnel as well as serving police personnel and their families and also to retain 50% of the funds collected for extending emergency assistance to widows and minor children of the deceased police personnel for their Medicare  and Education, as per the Flag Fund Rules communicated through G.O.Ms.No.158, dt:5.7.2007, G.O.Ms.No.352, dt: 8.12.2008 and G.O.Ms.No.138, dt:19.5.2013,  Home (WNT) Department.  

3.       The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, shall ensure proper accounting of Flag Stickers and Car stickers and render the accounts to Government.

4.       This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (EBS.VI) Department vide their U.O.No.2335/86/EBS.VI/2014, dt.16-09-2014.
