Global Crude Oil price of Indian Basket was US$ 46.55 per bbl on 28.01.2015
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 46.55 per barrel (bbl) on 28.01.2015. This was higher than the price of US$ 45.38 per bbl on previous publishing day of 27.01.2015.
In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket increased to Rs 2858.64 per bbl on 28.01.2015 as compared to Rs 2789.05 per bbl on 27.01.2015. Rupee closed stronger at Rs 61.41 per US$ on 28.01.2015 as against Rs 61.46 per US$ on 27.01.2015.

Conventional on Pahal
A convention on PAHAL was organized by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in Scope Complex. The convention was chaired by the Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. Secretary Petroleum Shri Saurabh Chandra, other officers of ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Department of Financial services, Chairman IOC chairman HPC and others officers of Oil Marketing companies involved in PAHAL were also present. During the convention, minister reviewed the progress of the PAHAL in different states. Speaking on the occasion Shri Pradhan emphasized the need for a proper grievance handling mechanism to address the PAHAL related complaints. He also asked department of financial services to address the bank related issues in PAHAL implementation quickly.
