R D E R:
In the G.O. 1st read above,
Government have issued orders permitting the Commissioner & Director of
Agriculture, A.P., Hyderabad for appointment of 6354 MPEOs on contract basis in
a phased manner and also issued guidelines regarding duties and
responsibilities, qualifications, selection procedure for Multi Purpose
Extension Officers and guidelines for formation of Rythu Mithra Groups.
2. The Commissioner & Director of
Agriculture in his letter 2nd read above has informed that
relaxation of 5 years for Backward Classes was missed in the proposal and
requested the Government to issue orders for relaxation of 5 years for BCs in
the recruitment of MPEOs.
3. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. YSR Horticulture
University in his letter 3rd read above has requested the Government
to consider B.Sc. (Horti), B.Sc.(hons) Horticulture and Diploma in Horticulture
in the recruitment of MPEOs.
4. The Government after careful
examination of the matter hereby issue the following amendment to the
guidelines issued in the reference 1st read above.
AMENDMENT
1.
In the selection Procedure, for Category.III,
the following shall be substituted.
Category
III: Diploma in Horticulture.
Category IV: Science graduates with
specialisation in Botany.
2.
In the said guidelines for the words “Maximum
age limit is 40 years with a relaxation of 5 years shall be read as “Maximum
age limit is 40 years with a relaxation 5 years to SC, ST & BC candidates.

5. The Commissioner and Director of
Agriculture, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the
matter and send compliance report to the Government immediately.
