President of India expresses condolences over the loss of lives due to crane crash in Mecca


The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has expressed his deep concern over the loss of lives and injuries caused to pilgrims when a construction crane collapsed at the Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) in Mecca. 


The President of India conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of deceased and his prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. 

He also called upon concerned authorities in India to extend every assistance possible to the families of the deceased Indian pilgrims and those injured in the incident.

President of India condoles the loss of lives due to derailment of a train in Karnataka


The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the loss of lives due to derailment of a train at Martur Railway Station near Kalaburagi city in Karnataka. 

In a message to Shri Vajubhai Vala, the Governor of Karnataka, the President has said “I am sad to learn about the derailment of a train at Martur Railway Station near Kalaburagi city in Karnataka this morning, as a result of which some persons have lost their lives and others are injured. I understand rescue as well as relief operations are currently underway. 

I call upon the State Government and Railway authorities to provide all possible assistance to the bereaved families as well as the best of medical attention to the injured. 

Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I wish speedy recovery to all the injured persons”.

President of India condoles the loss of lives in an explosion in Madhya Pradesh


The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the loss of lives in an explosion in Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh today. 

In a message to Shri Ram Naresh Yadav, the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, the President has said “I am sad to know about the gas cylinder explosion this morning in Jhabua District in which a large number of persons have lost their lives and many others are injured.

I call upon authorities to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families as well as medical assistance to the injured. I am sure necessary measures will be taken to investigate the cause of the incident and put in place remedial measures.
