SAG :Indian won Gold in Triathlon Mix Relay
In Triathlon Mix Relay, India won Gold
in 12th SAG today. Indian team led by Pallavi Retiwala, Dilip Kumar, Sorojini
Devi Thoudam and Dhiraj Sawant covered their destination in 1:24:31:00 hrs and
won the Gold medal. Nepalese team comprising Yem Kumari Ghale, Himal Tamata,
Roza K.C and Rudra Katuwal clinched the Silver medal in 1:31:35:00 hrs. Bronze
medal won by Sri Lankan Team led by Gayani Dasanayake, Lakruwan Wijesiri,
Dinusha De Silva and Nuwan Kumara in 1:32:05:00.
Indian Team won Gold in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men shooting also. Chain Singh, Gagan Narang and Surendra Singh Rathod won Gold for India. W.K.Y. Krisantha, S.M.M. Samarkoon and H.D.P. Kumara of Sri Lanka won Silver medal while Golam Saifuddin Siplu, Md. Yusuf Ali and Md. Ramjan Ali of Bangladesh won the Bronze medal.
Afghanistan’s Mahmood Haidari won the Men under 58kg Taekwondo in Shillong. Gajendra Parihar of India won Silver medal and Sunil Poudel of Nepal won Bronze medal.

India has nothing to cheer about in as
far as the Taekwondo discipline is concerned as it has declined substantially
in its performance here today.In the Men under 58 Kgs Category, India managed
to grab the Silver when Gajendra Parihar beat Sunil Poudel of Nepal.In this
category, C.S. Liyange of Sri Lanka also managed to get the Bronze.
Meanwhile, in the Men under 74 Kgs Category, India had to be content with Silver as Manu George could not thwart the blows from Afghanistan’s M. Sharif Muradi who took away the Gold Medal and left India with a Silver.Bronze Medals went to Ngawang Yonten of Bhutan and N. Shrestha of Nepal.
In the Men Over 87 Kgs Category Asim Ijaz of Pakistan Gold thrashed Pium Sanjeewa of Sri Lanka to grab the Gold Medal leaving the lkatter with Silver, while the Bronze Medals were taken by Md. M. Rahaman of Bangladesh and Biju Pradhan of Bhutan.
In the Women under 49 Kgs Category the Gold Medal was snatched by India as Purva Dixit managed to thrash YK Chaulagain of Nepal leaving her with Silver while Prova Chakma of Bangladesh and Ayesha Noor of Pakistan had to content with the Bronze Medal.
In the Women under 57 Kgs Category, Somaen Ghuzami of Afghanistan grabbed the Gold Medal by beating Gyani Chunara of Nepal 10 – 7 points.S Ramchiary of India and G Sandamali of Sri Lanka both got the Bronze Medals in this category respectively.
