Global Crude oil price of Indian Basket was US$ 49.35 per bbl on 09.06.2016 
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 49.35 per barrel (bbl) on 09.06.2016. This was higher than the price of US$ 48.91 per bbl on previous publishing day of 08.06.2016.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket increased to Rs. 3287.65 per bbl on 09.06.2016 as compared to Rs. 3263.97 per bbl on 08.06.2016. Rupee closed stronger at Rs 66.63 per US$ on 09.06.2016 as against Rs 66.74 per US$ on 08.06.2016. The table below gives details in this regard:

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana launched for the State of Uttarakhand
Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana for the State of Uttarakhand in Srinagar, Pauri District on 09.06.2016. Sh. Ram Kripal Yadav, Minister of State for Drinking Water & Sanitation and elected Members of Parliament from Uttarakhand were present on the occassion.

The Programme was launched by handing over new connections to the beneficiaries. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan addressed the huge gathering of more than 5000 people and recollected his long association with the State of Uttarakhand and its people. He recollected yeoman service of activists of Chipko Andolan in protecting the forests & environment of Uttarakhand and explained the importance of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in saving environment and improving health & economic condition of women living in hilly areas. The minister highlighted the commitment of the Government led by Shri Narendra Modi to uplift the living conditions of women.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan also elaborated measures taken to strengthen LPG & Petroleum products supply chain in the State, by opening new distributorships and retail outlets. He urged the beneficiary make best use of the Scheme.

MoS for Drinking Water& Sanitation explained various achievements of the Government. Elected Members of Parliament from Uttarakhand present also addressed the gathering.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Shri Ram Kripal Yadav also held a press meet.
