The following notification will be published in an Extra-Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 28.12.2017.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with sub-section (1) of section 29, subsection (1) of section 72 and section 326 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Act No. 6 of 1965), the Governor of Andhra
Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Service Rules issued in G.O. Ms. No. 109, Housing, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (L1) Department, Dated 17th February, 1990 as subsequently amended from time to time.
AMENDMENTS
In the said rules, in rule 2, for Note 2, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
Note-2: In the matter of appointment of the post of the Municipal Commissioners Grade-I, the following shall be the order of rotation in every cycle of 10 vacancies:-
1st Vacancy : By promotion from Category VI
2nd Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VI
3rd Vacancy: By appointment by transfer of Section Officers/ Private Secretaries to Secretaries of Secretariat Departments of AP Secretariat except Law and Finance Department
4th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VI
5th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VI
6th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VI
7th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VI
8th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VII
9th Vacancy : By Promotion from Category VII
10th Vacancy: By Promotion from Category VI
2. The vacancy meant for Section Officers and Private Secretaries to Secretaries to Government, Andhra Pradesh Secretariat in each cycle of ten shall not lapse if no qualified and suitable or eligible Section Officer/Private Secretaries to Secretaries to Government is available for appointment and that it shall be reserved to be filled up and carried forward for appointment by transfer from the category of Section Officer/Private Secretaries to Secretaries to Government Andhra Pradesh Secretariat.
