ORDER

NOTIFICATION

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India vide Notification in G.S.R.1183(E) dated the 29th December, 2016 amended the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and revised the fees under rule 32 and rule 81 of the said Rules. Some representations have been received from vehicle owners with regard to reduction of the said fees. Meanwhile, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Government of India amended the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 vide Notification issued in G.S.R.271(E) dated the 21st March, 2017, which was published in the Gazettee of India vide No.214 dated 21st March, 2017 Extraordinary Part-II – section 3 – subsection
(i), wherein the Government of India permitted the State Governments to levy fee lower than the amount specified in their Table under rule 32 and Rule 81 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

2. The Government after careful consideration of the matter have decided to amend rule 32 and rule 81 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 to reduce fee.

3. The draft amendments to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 was issued as required by sub-section (1) of section 212 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) in G.O.Ms. No. 25, Transport, Roads & Buildings (Tr.I) Department, dated: 22.05.2018 and published in part-I Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No. 424 dated the 24th May, 2018 , inviting objections/ suggestions from any person with respect to the said draft amendment before expiry of the period of fifteen days (15) i.e., on or before 7th June, 2018.

4. The objections or suggestions received from the public in respect of said draft rules have been considered by the State Government.

5. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated 10.08.2018.

FINAL NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 107(2) (h) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the
following amendment to The Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and the same having been published as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act Vide
G.O.Ms.No.25, TR&B (Tr-I) Department, dated:22-05-2018 and published in Part-I Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.424, dated: the 24th May, 2018.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-
(i) in rule 32, in the TABLE there under, for the entries against Sl.No. 9 and 10 in the Columns (1)(2)(3)(4) and (5) the following entries shall be substituted, respectively,-

(ii) in rule 81, in the TABLE there under, for the entries against Sl.No. (4), (6), (7), (9) and (11) in Columns (1)(2)(3)(4) and (5), the following entries shall be substituted
respectively,
