Nizamabad
district – Appointment of Official and Non Official Members to the
Council – Orders – Issued.
O R D E R :-
As per the
provisions of the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Act
2002 (Act 62 of
2002), the State Government shall establish a council to be
known as
District Consumer Protection Council for every district by issue of
notification,
with effect from such date as it may specify in such notification.
2. The
Government vide G.O. 1st read above have issued a Statutory
Government Order
for establishment of the District Consumer Protection
Council in each
district with immediate effect with the official members as
detailed below
and to nominate (10) Non-Official Members under the
Chairmanship of
the District Collector to work, promote and protect the
rights of the
consumers laid down in clauses (a) to (f) of Sec. 6 of the
C.P.Act, 1986.

5. The District
Collector, Nizamabad district is requested to reconstitute the District Consumer
Protection Council with the above official and non-official members and to follow
the guidelines laid down in the G.O. 1st read above from para 5 (a) to (f).
