O R D E R:-
In pursuance of the instructions issued
in the Circular Memorandum in the reference first read above and in accordance
with the provisions u/s 5(1), 5(2) and sub-section-1 of Sec.19 of the Right to
Information Act, 2005, this Department have designated Assistant State Public
Information Officer, State Public Information Officer and Appellate Officer,
vide reference 2nd read
above. Subsequently, due to transfer of Officers, the orders have been revised
vide references 3rd to 10th read above.
2. Due to certain changes like transfers,
postings and retirements and some internal changes of certain information
officers, Government after careful consideration, hereby re-designate the

ORDER
It has been
decided that all Appellate Authorities/ Public Information Officers/
Assistant Public
Information Officers should have a good working knowledge of the
RTI Act in order
to ensure the Act is properly implemented in the State.
2. The Director
General, Dr.MCR HRD Institute has therefore proposed to
conduct Three
Days Training on RTI with effect from 21-02-2013 to 23-02-2013 for
Appellate
Authorities/ Public Information Officers/ Assistant Public Information
Officers of the
State Government.
3. Government
hereby depute the Officers of the Heads of Departments noted
in the annexure
to attend three days Training on RTI Act with effect from
21-02-2013 to
23-02-2013 from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
4. The Heads of
Departments are informed that it is a residential programme.
Boarding and
Lodging facility will be provided by Dr.MCR HRD institute, Hyderabad.
5. The Heads of
Departments noted in the annexure are requested to relieve
the Officers of
their respective Departments so as to enable them to attend the said
three days
Training course with effect from 21-02-2013 to 23-02-2013.

ORDER:

Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Act, 1939 - Exemption from Payment of Electricity Duty to the units set up in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Andhra Pradesh - Orders- Issued

ORDER
In the G.O. 1st read above, The Government have issued orders under section 3A of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Act 1939 (Act No.V of 1939) granting exemption to the units set up in Special Economic Zone from the payment of Electricity Duty under section 3 in respect of power generated and consumed by them, subject to the
condition that the electricity generated by the said units is utilized fully by them only.
2. Subsequently, The Government of Andhra Pradesh have inserted a new section 3 B to the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Act, 1939 with effect from 17-7-2003. As per the said section, every person or generating company who generates energy and uses for his own purpose shall pay every month to the state Government, a duty calculated at the rate of twenty five (25) paise per unit of energy on and in respect of such energy consumed during the previous month.
3. In the letter 2nd read above, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has informed that, the G.O. 1st read above was issued in the year 2002, when there was no private Special Economic Zone developers except APIIC in the State. Under
the provisions of Special Economic Zones Act 2005 and Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 the State of Andhra Pradesh has got higher number of notified Special Economic Zones. In majority of the cases, the developers provide power to Units by purchasing it from State. Hence, he has requested to extend the exemption from payment of Electricity Duty also to the “Purchase of electricity Power”
and provided to Units apart from to Captive generation units.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, and in supersession of the notification issued in G.O.Ms No.110, Energy (Pr-III) Dept. dt. 16-09-2002 hereby decide to grant exemption from payment of Electricity Duty, to the units set up in Special Economic Zone in respect of power generated and consumed by them, subject to the condition that the Electricity generated by the said units is utilized
fully by them only.
The following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated. 04-02-2013
NOTIFICATION
“ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3.B (3) of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Act, 1939, and in
supersession of the orders issued in G.O.Ms. No.110,
Energy (Pr.III) Dept, dt. 16-09-2002 the Government of
Andhra Pradesh hereby exempt from payment of
Electricity Duty of Twenty Five (25) paise per unit on the
electricity generated and fully consumed by units set up in Special Economic zones (SEZs) in the State of Andhra
Pradesh.”
