ORDER:

In the reference read above, the Commissioner & Director of Municipal  Administration, Hyderabad, has stated that, as per the National Urban Sanitation Policy, the State has to prepare to a State Sanitation Strategy, in consultation with key state departments and that the subject was discussed and agreed in the meeting on 07.08.2012 with the General International Cooperation (GIZ) team for constitution of State Level Sanitation Committee (SLSC). The SLSC will provide strategic guidance for preparation and operational zing the State Sanitation Strategy with periodic evolution of progress across departments for better convergence and to achieve the goals envisaged in State Sanitation Strategy. The German International

Cooperation (GIZ) has shared the structure of similar Committee notified by the States consisting of Principal Secretaries of various Departments, Heads of the Departments and Technical Experts.

2. The Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Hyderabad, has also proposed the State Level Sanitation Committee (SLSC) of Andhra Pradesh and its composition; a “Working Group” to provide inputs to State Level Sanitation Committee and also “Sanitation Cell” in the O/o the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, to operationalise the State Sanitation Strategy and to support preparation and consolidation of City Sanitation plans into State Level Plan with time frame, finances and to guide implementation.

3. Government, after careful examination of the matter, accepted the

above proposal of the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration and hereby constitute the State Level Sanitation Committee, with the following members:

1. The Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department –     Chairman

2. The Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, Health Department – Member

3. The Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, School Education Department – Member

4. The Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, Finance Department – Member

5. The Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, Environment Department - Member

6. The Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration – Member Convener

7. The Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation – Member

8. The Member Secretary, A.P. State Pollution Control Board – Member

9. The Engineer In Chief (Public Health) - Member

10.The Director Town and Country Planning - Member

11.The Managing Director, A.P. Urban Finance Infrastructure Development Corporation - Member

12.The Managing Director, A.P. State Road Transport Corporation, Hyderabad. – Member

13. The Special invitees like GIZ, ASCI and other institutions in state deemed resourceful shall be invited.

4. The Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, shall take necessary further action accordingly.
