Notification of vacancies and selection of
candidates and recruitment procedure - Amendment – Orders – Issued.
ORDER:
The
following notification shall be published in the next issue of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette.
NOTIFICATION
In
exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the
Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the
following amendment to the Special Rules for the Andhra Pradesh Jail Service
Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.303, Home (Prisons.A) Department, dated 20-12-2007.
AMENDMENT
In the said Rules, as mentioned in the
Annexure at (I) (b) and (II) (b) of categories Deputy Jailor and Assistant
Matron respectively, the words “the Director
General and Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Andhra
Pradesh, Hyderabad” wherever they occur shall be deleted and they shall be read as “the Inspector General of Prisons, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad” and the words “two Additional Inspectors General of Prisons” wherever they occur shall be deleted and it shall be read as “two senior-most Deputy Inspectors
General of Prisons and one more Deputy Inspector General of Prisons /
Superintendent of Jails at the choice of the Chairman”.
