Instructions for Filling the Online Application Form for Admissions to B. Arch (Architecture) course

Applications are invited for admission to B.Arch course from candidates who fulfil the following conditions:

1. A pass in 2nd PUC or 12th standard or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects having obtained minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General Merit Candidates and 45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka.
OR
2. A pass in 10+3 diploma recognised by Central / State Government & having obtained 50% marks in aggregate for General Merit Candidates and 45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka.
AND
3. A minimum score of 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category of candidates.


Last date to fill in online Application form is 21/06/2013 (i.e. Friday).

Last date to receive the filled in application form along with all the enclosures is 21/06/2013.

The Rank list will be prepared based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50.

The Rank List for B. Arch will be published on 01/07/2013 (i.e. Monday).

Details of the Centralised single window counseling for eligible candidates will be notified in due course.

Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the Online Application Form.


General Instructions to Candidates:
·  Ensure that the online application form is filled up properly and completely.
·  After you have filled in your Online application form, click on the submit button only once to send the details to the server. The server will assign you an application number, and provide the facility to view and print your online application form with the details you have filled, along with the application number.
·  Only then take a print of the online application form and online Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof (Candidate and COMEDK Copy).
·  The completed application form must have the signature of the Candidate, left hand forefinger impression and candidate's parent/guardian's signature.
·  Kindly do not send any original documents along with the application form.
·  Kindly stick your recent and similar (not older than six months) passport size colour photograph in the space provided. Application with smudged or tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted. Do not staple or pin the photograph on the application form. Do not Sign and no attestation is required on the photograph pasted on the application form.
·  Incomplete / incorrect applications are liable to be rejected without prior information to the candidates.
·  Any application received after the last date (i.e. 21/06/2013, Friday) is liable to be rejected.
Please send the following along with the completed Online Application Form:
  • Demand Draft has to be drawn from the nationalized bank in favour of "COMEDK"(check for the correct spelling), payable at Bangalore (DD must be payable at Bangalore) for Rs. 700/-(Seven Hundred only). Kindly ensure banker's Authorised Signature on the Demand Draft.Mention your name and application number on the back of Demand Draft. (Demand Draft payable other than Bangalore will not be accepted and the respective application will be rejected)
  • Online COMEDK Copy of the Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof (Once you submit your Online Application Form, you will also have a provision to print a format of this form, which must be attested by the Head of the Institution where he/she has last studied). The candidate copy of the Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof must be kept with the candidate.
  • An attested photocopy of NATA Score Card.
  • Attested photocopy of qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2 or II PUC) Marks Card(s).
  • An additional copy of your recent passport-size colour photograph with the application number and the name written on the back of the photograph.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC of Karnataka would be considered, provided they furnish the Photocopy of the following Certificates:
a) SC / ST : Caste Certificate issued by competent authority (Authorized to issue such a certificate but not below the rank of a Tahsildar)
b) OBC: Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB: As notified by the Karnataka Govt. Caste and Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or higher revenue jurisdictional authority authorized to issue such a certificate.
  • The completed Application Form should reach the COMEDK office on or before 21/06/2013(before 5:00 PM) either by speed post or courier to the below mentioned address:

    Note: Applications will not be received in person either in the COMEDK office or by any member institutions.
  • COMEDK is not responsible for any errors the candidates make while filling up the Application Form.
  • Candidates who have been marked or listed in the red list featured on our website need to contact COMEDK Office (080-41132810) for clarifications. The onus is on the candidate to track his/her application and COMEDK will not be responsible for the same.
  • COMEDK is not responsible for any loss or damage which might occur during Postal or Courier delivery.
  • Application Fee once remitted will not be refunded.

Note: Candidates please note the Demand Draft being collected along with the online application form is towards meeting the expenses for conduct of the counseling and other incidential expenses.

Explanation of the fields that needs to be filled up in the application form

1. Name of the Candidate:
Enter your full Name (as it appears in your 10th standard marks card), your name should not exceed 30 characters including the blank spaces. Should your full name exceed 30 characters and does not fit in the space provided, kindly shorten your name by using initials. Please use a blank space between initials. Kindly do not use any titles like Mr.,Miss/Ms. etc.

2. Date of Birth:
Provide your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format only as recorded in 10th standard marks card.
For e.g.: If your date of birth is 3rd September 1989, fill as 03/09/1989.

3. Gender:
Select the appropriate option.

4. Nationality:
Select your nationality.

5. Belongs to:
Select the type of Domicile Karnataka / Non-Karnataka.

By Birth/Domicile
If Karnataka, Select type of Domicile (i.e. By Birth / By Domicile).

If you do not fall into the above two categories please select Non-Karnataka.

6. Category:
Select the Category you belong to GM / SC / ST / OBC (SC, ST and OBC applicable to Karnataka origin candidate/s only as per Government of Karnataka (GOK) rules.)

OBC
If OBC, Select CAT 1, CAT 2A, CAT 2B, CAT 3A and CAT 3B. (Applicable to Karnataka origin candidate/s only as per Government of Karnataka (GOK) rules.)

7. Address:
Provide your address for communication. All formal communications from COMEDK will be sent to you at this address only. Do not mention your city, state and pin code in the address line.

8. City:
Select the city from the list. If you are from any other city that is not listed in the table, select "Others" in the list and fill in your city name in the space provided (The city mentioned has to be same for the address mentioned in the address column.)

9. State:
Select the state from the list (The State mentioned has to be same for the address mentioned in the address column).

10. PIN Code:
Fill up with the appropriate 6-digit PIN code.

11. Demand Draft Details:
DD No.: Enter the six-digit DD number drawn from nationalized bank.
DD Date: Select the DD Date in DD/MM/YYYY format only.
Drawee Bank: Select the drawee bank from the list. (Only Nationalized Banks) as mentioned in Annexure 5 of the COMEDK Website under UGET-2013 details.
12. Name of the Institute Last Studied:
Fill up the name of the Institution you have last studied in the space provided (2nd PUC / 12th Standard / Diploma).

13. Place of the Institution:
Fill up the Place of the Institution last Studied in the space provided.

14. Name of the Qualifying Examination and the Year of Passing:
Fill up the name of Qualifying Examination and Year of Passing in the space provided.

15. Aggregate Marks in the Qualifying Examination:
Fill up the aggregate marks scored in 2nd PUC / 12th Standard / Diploma Examination in the space provided.

16. NATA Score:
Fill up the NATA Score in the space provided.

17. Phone No.:
Kindly fill your Phone number with the relevant STD Code, use zero prefixed to the STD code and do not leave any blank spaces between the STD code and your telephone number.
For e.g.: If your STD code is 080 and your telephone number is 12345678, then your full telephone number will be "08012345678"

18. Mobile No.: (if you have)
Fill up the Mobile number in the space provided

19. Email-Id:
Fill up the email ID.

Declaration:
The candidate and the candidate's parent/guardian must both sign the declaration in the spaces provided for the same in the application form. The Date and Place must also be filled up in the application form. It is mandatory for the candidate to affix his/her Left hand forefinger Impression on the Application Form. After the submission of the online application form, the candidate can also take a print of his/her certificate of date of birth/identity proof made available on the website, have it attested from a Gazetted Officer or the Head of the Institute, where the candidate has last studied, and submit a photocopy of the same along with the print of the online application form, the Demand Draft and an additional copy of the candidate's recent passport-size colour photograph.

Any application form without the signatures of the candidate, left hand forefinger Impression of the Candidate and the Signature of the parent/guardian is liable to be rejected, without any further correspondence.
