FOTOBALL - THE TCS PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

To capture the beautiful game of football played around you as you see it.


The goal of this contest is to capture a glimpse of the game played in the most remote/ most crowd ed area with full enthusiasm. The contest is aimed to encourage students showcase their photography talent to TCS.

The contest will have three winners. This winner of the contest will be rewarded with football goodies (jerseys, footballs, posters etc.).

Contest Themes:
·     Joyous Victory Capture a picture that shows the joy of the victorious in football.
·     Gracious Loss Capture the losing team take the blow graciously in football.
·      Sticky Studs Capture freestyle football at its best.


Participation Guidelines:
·     The contest is open to students from any year across any disciplines
·       Contestants  can  submit  only  one  photograph  for  each  of  the  categories.  It  is  not  mandatory  to  submit  a photograph in each category.
·     The number of photographs submitted cannot exceed 3 per submission.
·     Contestants should submit only the photographs clicked by them and not from any media source.




Rules & Regulations:
By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out herein below. This is a skill based contest.


·     The Photographs should be your original creation.
·     You can send a maximum of 3 photographs (preferably 1 for each category)
·       Photographs must be in digital format only. Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted.
·     All digital files must be at least 300 KB and not more than 1MB. Submit your entry in the JPEG or JPG format.
·       Photograph must be at least 1,024 pixels wide (if a horizontal image, height of the horizontal image can be proportional to the width) or 1,024 pixels tall (if a vertical image, width of the vertical image can be proportionate to the height).
·     The image file should be saved and uploaded in the following format: Category Name_Lastname_Firstname.jpeg.

Do not use any special characters or any other   name formats.
·     The photograph should not contain brand names or trademarks.
·     Photographs should ideally be retained in its original format as closely as possible.


Terms and Conditions:
By submitting images to Fotoball, you confirm and agree to the following conditions.


·    The entrant acknowledges that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, a nd that the photograph does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
·    Contest  entries  must  not  contain  content  where  any  person/s  are  depicted  to  undertake  actions  that  is
inappropriate, indecent, obscene, violent, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous; that promotes racism or hatred against any group or individual or that promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; or that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in the state or province where the photo was captured.
·    You are the sole author of each Entry and that it is your original work.
·    You have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the image that would conflict with any of Campus C ommune’s use
·    Contestants who have posted their works on Campus Commune are either the copyright owners of the component parts of that work or are posting the work under license from a copyright owner or otherwise as permitted by law. TCS does not claim ownership rights in your works or other materials posted by you.
·    For the sole purpose of enabling us to make your Photograph available through our portal, you grant C ampus
Commune a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, re-format, store, prepare derivative works based on, and publicly display your content. You agree not to distribute any part of the portal other than Your Content in any medium other than as permitted in these Terms and Conditions.




·    Display or publication of any entry on a TCS website does not indicate the entrant will be selected as a winner. TCS will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.
·    By entering this Contest, all entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless TCS from any claims, losses,
and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest or any Contest-related activities. TCS assumes no responsibility  for  any  error,  omission,  interruption,  deletion,  defect,  or  delay  in  operation  or  transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to Contest entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms. TCS is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants' or any other persons' computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to in this Contest.
·    TCS will be the sole authority to decide the winners of the contest and decision of TCS will be final and binding oall the contestants.
·    TCS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or terminate the Contest, at any time it dee ms fit and proper. No claims or representations shall be entertained in this regard.
·    TCS  will  be  showcasing  images  as  submitted  and  will  not  be  responsible for  distortion/  non  clarity  in  thphotographs.


Indemnifications:
You fully indemnify and hold us (Tata Consultancy Services Limited) harmless for and against all damages, losses, and costs that might be caused by:

·     Your failure to comply with the terms of the above agreement
·     Third party claim(s) of their rights and IPR being violated/effected by your article(s) submitted to us.


Evaluation Parameters:


·       Originality of photograph: How close is the photograph to the original subject. A photograph that has been photo- shopped to a large extent is not acceptable.
·     Photographic Quality: Check for angle of capture, brightness, reflex required to capture the shot
·       Uniqueness: Is the photograph unique? Check photograph properties. Most original photographs have the camera make mentioned.
·     Emotional element: Is the photograph trying to tell a story?
Make sure you capture the best of the emotions in the categories joyous victory and gracious loss. In sticky studs we expect you to master the timing of the shot to serve the essence of freestyle with a perfect click.
·    Photo Specifications: Does the photograph meet the size specifications?
