ORDER:
The A.P Reorganization Act 2014 provides that the existing admission quotas in all Government or private, aided or unaided institutions of higher, technical and medical education shall continue, as far as they relate to article 371-D of the Constitution. Further, the common admission process shall also continue. Quotas as per article 371-D and common admission process would be there for a period of ten years.

2 Before bifurcation of the state the AFRC (Admission and fee regulatory committee) has fixed uniform fee for Medical and Dental UG and PG course in unaided private colleges for the Block Period 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and communicated to Government by 08.05.2014. Due to bifurcation of the state, the recommendations of the AFRC could not be examined in detail, in consultation with stakeholders. As the deadline of 1st September for commencement of classes as pronounced by the Hon’ble Supreme court of India in various Judgments is fast
approaching, Government have decided to go ahead with the existing admission procedure for both minority and non-minority colleges in respect of MBBS and BDS courses in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

3 Accordingly, Government hereby decide to continue with the fee structure for A, B, C1 and C2 categories seats, as was followed for the previous academic year 2013-14.

4 Government also decide and accordingly hereby order to substitute item (VI) under Category C1 of Rule 6 (C) of G.O. 3rd read above read with G.O 15th read above, with the
following: 

The college shall constitute a selection committee. The Committee conducting  interview shall comprise of the following:-

1. Chairman : Dean / Principal / Director of the College.
2. One senior faculty member.
3. One member from management committee of the college

And that the college shall prepare a final merit list of all the candidates on the basis of individual’s performance at qualifying examination which shall carry 85% weightage and marks obtained by the candidate in the interview which shall carry 15% weightage to assess the intent and aptitude towards the course and prevent multiple blocking of the seats in more than one college. The same shall be tabulated and displayed on the notice board of  the college, and be sent to the Dr.NTRUHS for approval.

5 It is further ordered to continue the remaining admission procedure for both minority and non-minority colleges in respect of MBBS and BDS courses as followed in the previous
academic year in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the current academic year 2014-15 also.

6 The Registrar, NTRUHS, Vijayawada shall take necessary action in the matter.
