Global crude oil price of Indian Basket was US$ 65.60 per bbl on 08.12.2014

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 65.60 per barrel (bbl) on 08.12.2014. This was lower than the price of US$ 66.98 per bbl on previous publishing day of 05.12.2014.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs 4062.61 per bbl on 08.12.2014 as compared to Rs 4142.71 per bbl on 05.12.2014. Rupee closed weaker at Rs 61.93 per US$ on 08.12.2014 as against Rs 61.85 per US$ on 05.12.2014.

The Chief Minister of Assam Sh. Tarun Gogoi Calls on the Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Prahdan

The Chief Minister of Assam Sh. Tarun Gogoi met Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today. The Chief Minister discussed various issues including demand for royalty on pre-discounted price of crude oil. Shri Pradhan assured that the Government is committed for cooperative federal structure with priority for North-Eastern states and it will be ensured that Assam gets its rightful dues.

Petroleum Minister requested the Chief Minister for providing better facilities to oil & gas companies operating in Assam in areas like law & order, tax etc. He also requested for cooperation of Government of Assam for implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer in LPG (DBTL).

Secy. (PNG), SS (PNG), CMDs of ONGC & OIL were also present in the meeting.
