ORDER :

In the reference 1^st read above, the Director, Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Hyderabad has informed that the Institute is an autonomous Training cum Research Institute established by the Government in the year 1992 and the faculty was paid UGC scales since then. The UGC scales were again revised during the year 2006 vide G.O.Ms.No.14 Higher Education (UE-II) Dt.:20.10.2010, since then the faculty has been requesting for revised UGC scales 2006.

2.       The Director has further informed that a provision is made under rule 31 of Institute Rules issued in G.O.Ms. No.520 HM&FW Dept. 11.11.1998 as regards to regulation of pay and allowances in respect of academic services who were drawing pay in UGC scales, shall continue to remain as such until they were revised on the basis of recommendation of 5^th pay commission. The UGC scales which may be revised by the Government of India in future shall mutatis & mutandis apply to the above categories of posts. The DA & HRA and other allowances which may be sanctioned by the UGC for similar posts from time to time shall be extended to these cadres.

3.       The Commissioner of Family Welfare, Telangana Hyderabad has requested to extent the revised UGC Scales to the faculty of IIH & FW in the reference 2^nd read above.

4.       Government after careful examination of the matter hereby accord permission for implementation of revised UGC scales 2006 to the faculty (12) of the members IIH&FW with the following (3) conditions:-

(a)  Revised UGC Scales 2006, to be implemented notionally w.e.f. 16-6-2008, with monetary benefit from prospective date (date of issue of order).

(b)  The scales assigned to this faculty should not be higher than the scales assigned to similar faculty, under DME.

(c)  The expenditure shall be met from the corpus fund of IIH & FW only. 

5.       The Director, IIH&FW / The Commissioner of Family Welfare, TS, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter.

6.       This order issues with the concurrence of Finance U.O.No.33 /A1/II/EMSH/2014,dt.31-05-2014.
