ORDER:-
In the reference 1 st read above, the VC & MD, INCAP has informed that INCAP is
a lean organization with very limited staff and requested the Govt. to consider any
one of the Sectoral Departments as Nodal Agency for both the Corridor Projects i.e.,
Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) and Vizag Chennai Industrial Corridor
(VCIC), so that INCAP will concentrate on other important projects already entrusted
to it. In the reference 2 nd read above, the Energy, I&I Department have also
nominated the Commissioner of Industries, GoAP, Hyderabad, as the Nodal Agency for
the above two Corridors.
2.  The Vizag Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) is being funded by Asian
Development Bank Fund and has an objective of preparation and implementation of a
Comprehensive Regional Perspective Plan for the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor
Region and transforming the region into a globally competitive investment
destination.
3.  The Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) is funded by Japan
International Co operation Agency (JICA) and has an objective of preparing and
implementing a Comprehensive Regional Perspective Plan for the Chennai Bengaluru
Industrial Corridor Region, along with developing strategy for transforming the region
into a globally competitive investment destination and development of suitable nodes
for industrial development within the project influence area.
4.  The implementation of the VCIC and CBIC are being dealt and monitored by
DIPP under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
5.  Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby issue the
following orders:-
(a)  The Industries and Commerce Department shall be the nodal
Secretariat Department for all matters pertaining to the
formulation of project proposals and the implementation of both
the CBIC and VCIC; and
(b)  The Director of Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh is
appointed as the Nodal Agency for the implementation of Chennai
Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) and Vizag Chennai Industrial
Corridor (VCIC).
6.  These orders will be come into force with immediate effect.
7.  The Director of Industries, Govt. of A.P., Hyderabad shall take necessary
further action in the matter accordingly.
