ORDER:
In the reference read above, the Commissioner of Technical Education, Andhra
Pradesh, Hyderabad has furnished the proposal for construction of New SC Hostel Buildings for
Scheduled Caste Students in the existing (14) Government Polytechnics i.e., (1). ESCGPT,
Nandyal, (2). SVGPT, Tirupathi, (3) GPT, Kalikiri, (4) GPT, Proddatur, (5) GPT, Ananthapur, (6)
GPT, Srikakulam (7) MRAGRGPT, Vizianagaram (8) GPT, Visakhapatnam, (9) APT, Kakinada,
(10) GPT, Gannavaram (11) MBTS GPT, Guntur (12) DAGPT, Ongole, (13) GPT, Kandukur and
(14) GPT, Nellore @ Rs.1.00 Crore per Hostel for an amount of Rs.14.00 Crores and
Construction of hostel building for SC students in (2) Government Model Residential
Polytechnics one each at Rajahmundry and Madanapalle for an amount of Rs.4.00 crores @
Rs.2.00 crores each. The Commissioner of Technical Education has requested to accord
administrative sanction to start the construction works and permission to entrust the works to
the Chief Engineer, APEWIDC, Hyderabad at the earliest and complete them within this
financial year, as budget is allotted in BE 2014-15 under Special Component Plan for Scheduled
Castes (SCSP).
2.  After careful examination of the proposal of the Commissioner of Technical Education,
Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, Government hereby accord administrative sanction to
construction of New SC Hostel Buildings for Scheduled Caste Students in the existing (14)
Government Polytechnics i.e., (1). ESCGPT, Nandyal, (2). SVGPT, Tirupathi, (3) GPT, Kalikiri,
(4) GPT, Proddatur, (5) GPT, Ananthapur, (6) GPT, Srikakulam (7) MRAGRGPT, Vizianagaram
(8) GPT, Visakhapatnam, (9) APT, Kakinada, (10) GPT, Gannavaram (11) MBTS GPT, Guntur
(12) DAGPT, Ongole, (13) GPT, Kandukur and (14) GPT, Nellore and Construction of hostel
building for SC students in (2) Government Model Residential Polytechnics one each at
Rajahmundry and Madanapalle. The Commissioner of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh,
Hyderabad is also permitted to entrust the works to the Chief Engineer, APEWIDC, Hyderabad
under Special Component Plan for Scheduled Castes (SCSP).
3.  The Commissioner of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take
necessary action accordingly and advised to exhaust available amount, which was already
released.
4.  This order is issued with the concurrence of Finance (EBS.IV.SE.HE) Deptt., vide their
U.O.No.1118/26/EBS.IV.HE/2015, dt.28.02.2015.
