O R D E R:
The term of the two members viz. (1) Sri Jupudi Prabhakara Rao and (ii) Smt. Balashali Indira, nominated by the Governor to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has expired on 29.03.2015.
2. The above two seats have to be filled up by nomination by the Governor. As per sections 156 and 157 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), the term of the members to be nominated by the Governor will be six years from the date of issue of notification under section 74 of the said Act.
3. In view of the above the following notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:12.06.2015.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (e) of clause (3) read with clause (5) of Article 171 of the Constitution of India. I, E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, hereby nominate the following two (2) persons to be Members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council:
(1) Sri T.D. Janardhan
(2) Sri Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy

The following Notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, on 12th June, 2015.
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the term of the two (2) members viz., Sri Jupudi Prabhakara Rao and (ii) Smt. Balashali Indira, nominated by the Governor to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has expired on 29.03.2015;
And whereas, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh has nominated two persons to the Legislative Council under sub-clause (e) of clause (3) read with clause (5) of Article 171 of the Constitution of India, vide G.O. read above;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 74 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby notifies the following two (2) names of the members so nominated:
(1) Sri T.D. Janardhan.
(2) Sri Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy.

O R D E R:
As per section 23 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 (Central Act 6 of 2014) as amended by the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Act, 2015 (Central Act, 12 of 2015), read with Notification issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, dated:29.4.2015, the number of seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council have been increased to 58 from 50. Of the above, in the category of members Nominated by the Governor, two (2) seats have been increased.
The above two seats have to be filled up by nomination by the Governor. According to sections 156 and 157 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, (Central Act 43 of 1951), the term of the members to be nominated by the Governor will be six years from the date of issue of notification under section 74 of the Representation of People Act, 1951.
In view of the above, the following notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated 12.06.2015.
