Last date for submission of
nominations for the #100Women Achievers Contest extended to 10th October, 2015
The last date for
submission of nominations for the #100Women Achievers Contest has been extended
to 10th October, 2015 due to overwhelming response from the people.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) had announced the
#100Women initiative on 15th July, 2015. Through this
initiative, the Government wishes to acknowledge and recognize 100 women
achievers who have contributed to community and nation building across the
country.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development seeks
participation of people in nominating women achievers for their felicitation.
Nominations can be submitted through the Facebook page (https://www.Facebook.com/ministryWCD)
of the Ministry of Women and Child Development. To submit nominations online,

A nomination can
be submitted by anyone across the world but nominees must be Indian women above
18 years of age (as on 31stDecember, 2015). Further, they may be
nominated for their work undertaken within India, under any of the 20
categories listed in the nomination form in the Ministry’s Facebook page. The
nomination form requires a photo or a video pertaining to the area of work of
the nominee, elaborating why she should be recognized and honoured.
Voting by public
will begin on November 7, 2015 on the top 200 entries as determined by an
esteemed jury. Winners shall be announced in December, 2015 and they shall be
invited to join a reception organized by the Ministry around the Republic Day
in January, 2016.
As the deadline
for the nominations, 10th October, 2015 is fast-approaching, as
many people as possible should make use of this opportunity to
participate. The information about the initiative may be shared widely so that
it reaches the remotest corner of the country.
