ELECTORAL ROLL
The electoral rolls of the States mentioned above that contains Parliamentary and AssemblyConstituencies have been revised with reference t01.01.2015 as the qualifying date and have been finally publisheon05.01.2015 except Jharkhand, Mizoram and Telangana. The date of final publication of Jharkhand is as on 19.03.2015, Telangana is as on 17.01.2015 and Mizoram is as on 15.01.2015.
ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES (EVMs)
The Commission has decided to use EVMs in the bye-elections in all the polling stations . Adequate number of EVMs have been made available and all steps have been taken to ensure that the polls are conducted smoothly with the help of these machines.
MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT
The Model Code of Conduct shall come into force with immediate effect in the district(s) in which the whole or anypart of the Assembly Constituency going fobye-election is included, subject to partial modificatioas issued videCommission’s instruction No 437/INST/2012/CC&BEdated 26thApril, 2012(available on the Commission’s website). TheModel Code of Conduct shall be applicable tall candidates, political parties and the State Government concerned. TheModel Code of Conduct shall also be applicable to the Union Government in respect of the above  district(s) of the State concerned.
