O R D E R:
The Registrar, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana State, in his letter seventh read above inter alia has proposed amendment to the Telangana Medical & Dental Colleges (Admission into MBBS & BDS Courses) Rules, 2017 issued in G.O.Ms. No. 114, HM&FW (C1) Dept, dt. 05/7/2017 regarding contribution of 15% seats in Government Medical & Dental Colleges to All India pool and providing 5% reservation to Physically Challenged candidates.
2. Government after careful examination of the matter, have decided to amend the Telangana Medical & Dental Colleges Admission (Admission into MBBS & BDS Courses)
Rules, 2017 issued in the G.O. fourth read above.
3. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the Telangana Gazette, Dated. 03/07/2018.
N O T I F I C A T I O N
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 read with sub-section (1) of section 15 of the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act 1983 (Act No. 5 of 1983), the Governor of Telangana hereby makes the following amendments to the Telangana Medical & Dental Colleges Admission (Admission into MBBS & BDS Courses) Rules, 2017 issued in the G.O. fourth read above.
AMENDMENT
In the said rules:-
1. for rule – I, the following rule shall be substituted, namely;-
I. Number of seats:-
The number of seats under Competent Authority Quota in MBBS & BDS Courses to be filled as per merit from candidates who have qualified in NEET UG Exam held
by the Government of India for that year and following the rules of reservation in each Medical & Dental College shall be notified before counseling, after excluding the 15% seats contributed to All India Quota from Government Medical and Dental Colleges.
2. in Rule IV, of the said rules, item ''b'' the following shall be substituted namely;-
5% seats shall be reserved for differently abled candidates in each category.
Reservations to Physically challenged candidates: The reservations to Physically Challenged candidates shall be implemented in the each category on the total number of seats for that category in MBBS and BDS Courses separately.
Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal shall constitute a Medical Board comprising of Professors of Orthopedics / General Medicine / Neurology / Hematology Departments from Government Medical colleges including
NIMS. The candidates should appear before the board constituted for assessment of percentage of disability as per the norms of the Government. The decision of the Medical
Board constituted by the University is final in all respects. The University will notify the list of eligible candidates on the web-site for exercising options.
The candidates should fulfill the eligibility criteria as per Medical Council of India norms in accordance with Right of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
3. In Rule V, of the said rules under " e " in (1) the following shall be substituted; namely;-
(1) Differently abled candidates in each category : 5%
