ORDER:

In the reference first read above, administrative sanction was accorded for entrusting the work related to the construction of Girls Hostels in 355 Educationally Backward Blocks to the Andhra Pradesh Educational Welfare & Infrastructure Development Corporation, Hyderabad, pending receipt of Central Share. The Commissioner & Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, was also requested to call for the tenders in packages, as was done in the case of Model Schools.  Further to consider the issues faced by the Executing Agency, while finalizing the terms and conditions.

2.      In the reference 2^nd read above, the Commissioner & Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has brought to the notice of the Government that Andhra Pradesh Education Welfare & Infrastructure Development Corporation (APEWIDC), Hyderabad,  is the executive agency and it is the concerned organization for taking up of construction of Girls Hostels in identified 355 Educationally Backward Blocks in the State, but not the Commissioner & Director of  School Education & E.O. Project Director(RMSA), Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.  Therefore, the Commissioner & Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has requested the Government to amend the said order accordingly and also to indicate the 355 Girls Hostels each with a Unit cost of Rs.128.81 lakhs (Rupees One Crore Twenty Eight Lakhs Eighty one Thousand only) and comprising plinth area of 11803.72 Sq.ft.

3.      The Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby makes the following amendment to the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.190, education (SE-Prog.I) Department, dated 11.04.2012.

                                

A M E N D M E N T

Instead of Paragraph 4 of the said G.O., the following words shall be substituted:-

“The Andhra Pradesh Educational Welfare & Infrastructure Development Corporation, Hyderabad (APEWIDC), shall call for tenders in packages, as was done in the case of Model Schools duly following the orders issued by Government vide G.O.Rt.No.311, School Education (Genl-II) Department, dated: 14.06.2010.”

“Sanction is accorded for Construction & Running of 355 Girl’s Hostels each with a unit cost of Rs.128.81 lakhs (Rupees one crore twenty eight lakhs eighty one thousand only) and comprising Plinth area of 11803.72 Sq.ft.”
