ORDER:
Government of Andhra Pradesh has established AP Residential Educational Institutions Society in the year 1972 with an objective to provide quality education to the rural talented children from the economically backward families. Initially 03 Schools were started at 1.Sarvail (Boys), Nalgonda District 2.Kodigenahalli (Anantapur District) and 3.Tadikonda (Guntur District) to cater the needs of students of three regions.
These three schools were conceived and established on true “Gurukul
pattern” wherein all the students and the teachers are expected to live on the same campus and have inter-active learning process from each other. The intake of the students in these schools was from the entire region selecting the meritorious students based on State-wide competitive examination. The Schools could produce best-in-class students who stood out as leaders in all social spheres and made incremental addition to the human capital of the State.The Secretary, APREIS, Hyderabad has proposed the following:-
(i) To convert 03 schools as Regional Centers of excellence (class V to X) by sanctioning 02 new Schools one for Anantapur and one for Guntur Districts and declaring the existing schools at Sarvail(Nalgonda Dist), Tadikonda (Guntur Dist) and Kodigenahalli(Anantapur Dist) as Regional centers of excellence.
(ii) Providing necessary infrastructure facilities, posts etc.
(iii) An amount of Rs.2890.26 lakhs is required to implement the above
proposal over a period of six years.
(iv) To obtain permission from the Government of India to conduct admission test for these 03 Schools.
After careful examination of the proposal of the Secretary, APREIS,
Hyderabad, Government, hereby sanction an amount of Rs. 2862.54 lakhs
(Rupees Two thousand eight hundred sixty two lakhs and fifty four thousand only)
over a period of 6 years for implementation of the proposal for providing
infrastructure facilities, posts etc and also hereby sanction 02 new Residential Schools for boys one for Guntur District, one for Anantapur District and to convert the existing APR Schools at 1. Sarvail (Boys) (Nalgonda District) ` 2. Tadikonda (Boys)(Guntur District) 3. Kodigenahalli (Boys)(Ananthapur District) as Regional Centers of Excellence, (class V to X) with 2 Sections in each class and 40 students in each section. Total strength would be 480 with 12 Sections in each school. The orders regarding sanction of posts will be issued separately. The Secretary, APREIS, Hyderabad is requested to admit the students in the above said (03) Schools based on the grades awarded in class IV in Annual Examinations as an interim measure duly following rule of reservation, till permission is obtained from Government of India for conducting admission tests in line with Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi which is functioning under MHRD, New Delhi, Government of India. This order issues with the concurrence of Fin(ESE) Dept vide their U.O.No. 13637/305/Expr.SE/2012 , Dt: 22.05.2012.
