Agricultural Marketing Department - Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Rules, 1969 – Amendments – Final Notification – Orders – Issued.
AGRICULTURAL MARKETING AND COOPERATION (AM.III) DEPARTMENT
G.O.Ms.No. 1 Dated: 04 -01-2013.ORDER:-
Whereas the Government have provisionally decided to make certain amendments to rule 158 and rule 178 of the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Rules, 1969 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 1990, Food & Agriculture (Legislation), dated 17.10.1969 and published in issue No.27 of Rules Supplement to Part-II, Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazettee, dated 21.10.1969;

And whereas as required under sub-section (4) of section 33 of the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966 (Act 16 of 1966), a Preliminary Notification has been issued in G.O. 5th read above and published in issue No.7 of Rules Supplement to Part-II, Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazettee dated 4-08-2012 inviting objections/suggestions within 30 days from the date of publication of Notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and that any objections / suggestions which will be received before expiry of the said period will be considered by the Government. In the
references 6th to 9th read above, certain objections/ suggestions have been received against the proposal within the stipulated time;

3. And whereas, Government have examined the said objections received in consultation with the Commissioner & Director of Agricultural Marketing, Hyderabad and came to conclusion that the objections raised therein does not merit for consideration and
accordingly they are not considered.

4. Now, therefore the following final notification will be published in the Extraordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazettee.

FINAL NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) (iv) of section 33 of the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Live Stock) Markets
Act, 1966 (Act No.16 of 1966), the Government hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Rules, 1969 issued in G.O.Ms.No.1990, Food & Agriculture (Legislation) , dated 17.10.1969 published in issue No.27 of Rules Supplement to Part-II, Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazettee, dated 21.10.1969 and the subsequently amended from time to time.

AMENDMENTS

In the said rules:-
(1) in rule 158, (a) for clause (a), under sub rule (3), under the category “Secretary Grade-III” , the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“by Direct Recruitment through Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission : The APPSC shall issue an open advertisement inviting applications from the eligible and qualified candidates and select the candidates on the basis of merit in a written examination :

Provided that the employees already working in Agricultural Market Committee Service shall also apply to these posts after obtaining no objection certificate from the concerned authority”

(b) for clause (a), under sub-rule (4), under the category “ Assistant Secretaries”, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“by Direct Recruitment through Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission : The APPSC shall issue an open advertisement inviting applications from the eligible and qualified candidates and select the candidates on the basis of merit in a written examination :

Provided that the employees already working in Agricultural Market Committee Service shall also apply to these posts after obtaining no objection certificate from the concerned authority”.

(2). in Rule 178, in sub-rule (1), after clause (a), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-

“(aa) Appointments to the District Level posts of Assistant Market Supervisors, Bid Clerks, Graders and Junior Market Supervisors shall be made by Direct Recruitment through Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission : The APPSC shall issue an open advertisement inviting applications from the eligible and qualified candidates and select the candidates on the basis of merit in a written examination :

Provided that the employees already working in Agricultural Market Committee Service shall also apply to these posts after obtaining no objection certificate from the concerned authority”.
