O R D E R:

In the Preliminary Notification, issued in the G.O. second read above, it was

proposed to amend the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, issued in

G.O.Ms.no.216, Transport, Roads and Buildings (Tr.II) Department, dated: 07.08.1989

and published at pages 1-135 of the Rules Supplement to Part-I Extra-ordinary issue of

the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 25.08.1989, in exercise of the powers conferred by

section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), and the same has

been published previously at Pages 1-3 of the Rules Supplement to Part-I, Extraordinary

issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 01.03.2008 for the general

information of the public, as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said

Act.

2. No objection has been received in this regard and the Government have decided

to confirm the preliminary notification.

3. The following notification shall be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of

Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated 2nd March, 2009.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Act,

1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the

following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, issued in

G.O.Ms.No.216, Transport, Roads and Buildings (Tr.II) Department, dated 7th August,

1989 and published at pages 1-135 of the Rules Supplement to Part-I Extra-ordinary

issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated the 25th August, 1989, as subsequently

amended from time to time.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, after rule 6, the following rule shall be inserted,

namely:-

“6-A :- Documents to be enclosed as to the correctness of address and age:

Every application for issue of a Driving Licence whether learner or

permanent, or Authorization to drive a transport vehicle or renewal of a driving Licence

or issue of duplicate driving License wherever there is change of address, or change of

address in the driving licences shall have one or more of the following documents in

Original or relevant extracts thereof duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of the Central

Government/State Government or an Officer of a Local body who is equivalent in rank

of a Gazetted Officer of the Government to establish the identity of the applicant.

(a) Ration Card.

(b) Multi Purpose House Hold Card.

(c) Pay slip issued by Public Sector Organization showing

his office address/residential address.

(d) Municipal Tax Notice/Receipt.

(e) Bank Pass book from any Public Sector/Private Sector/Banking

Institution included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of

India Act, 1934.

(f) Cooking gas connection allotment order.

(g) Electricity Bill issued by the DISCOMS.

(h) Water Bill issued by Municipality or Water Works Department.

(i) Any Telephone bill including landline or mobile.

(j) A driving licence or Registration Certificate issued by the concerned

licensing authority or Registering Authority as the case may be.”

The following notification shall be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of the

Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Dated: 24/07/2013.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988

(Central Act 59 of 1988), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the

following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, issued in

G.O.Ms.No.216, Transport, Roads and Buildings (Tr.II) Department, dated 7th August,

1989 and published at pages 1-135 of the Rules Supplement to Part-I Extra-ordinary

issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated the 25th August, 1989 as subsequently

amended from time to time.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, after rule 6 (A) (j), the following shall be inserted namely:

(k) "Aadhar Card".
