Amendment to Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006

 The following notification will be published in the Extra Ordinary issue of Telangana Gazette dt.18.08.2014. 

                              NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 101 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-Organisation Act, 2014 (Central Act No.6 of 2014) and Sections 3 and 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation of Fee) Act, 1983 (Andhra 
Pradesh Act No.5 of 1983) the Government of Telangana hereby make the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions of Engineering / Pharmacy Diploma and B.Sc., Degree Holders into Undergraduate Professional Courses through Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2006 issued in G.O.Ms.No.61, Higher Education (EC) Department, 
Dt.26.5.2006 as amended subsequently. 

                                  AMENDMENT
In the said rules, in rule 3, in sub rule (i) for clause (a), the following shall be substituted namely:- 

“(a) 10% over and above the sanctioned intake of seats 
(supernumerary) in previous academic year for lateral entry 
into 2nd year Engineering (including Technology) courses in 
the University Colleges in the Telangana State”
