O R D E R:
With a view to impart environmental education and to encourage and mobilize participation of school children in various environmental conservation activities in their localities, National Green Corps has been constituted by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
Accordingly, in the G.O. first read above, orders were issued for establishment of separate Directorate for implementing the programme of National Green Corps in the State of Andhra Pradesh.


2. In pursuance of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014, a new Directorate of Telangana National Green Corps for the newly formed State of Telangana needs to be established.


3. In the Memo third read above, instructions were issued to controlling department to initiate immediate measures for bifurcation/new establishment, for the respective institutions as mentioned in the Annexure-I of A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014. It was also instructed that separate institutions/ centres/ body should start functioning in both the states on and from the Appointed Day. The Directorate (i.e., Andhra Pradesh National  Green Corps) is essential and should be bifurcated from the parent department as per the provision of the said Act.


4. In the G.O. fourth read above, instructions were issued to the Institutions / Organisations under the administrative control of Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Department to take immediate necessary action in accordance with the statutory requirements laid down for
bifurcation as detailed in the Annexure-I of the said Act.


5. In the letter fifth read above, the Director, Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps, Hyderabad has proposed for establishment of a separate Directorate of National Green Corps for the State of Telangana.


6. Government after examining the matter have decided to establish the National Green Corps for the State of Telangana on the similar lines of Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps as per the provision of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.


7. Accordingly, the Telangana State National Green Corps is hereby established as a ‘Directorate’ for implementing the programme of National Green Corps in the State of Telangana.


8. The Directorate shall function from the O/o Telangana State Pollution Control Board, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. The orders in respect of establishment & personnel of the directorate shall be issued separately.
