ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued the Special Rules for the
Andhra Pradesh Police (Civil) Rules.
2. In the G.O. 2nd read above, Government have issued an Amendment to the
G.O.ms.No.137, Hom (Pol.E) Department, dt:1.6.1998 for reducing the minimum
service to that of (4) years instead of 6 years in respect of Sub Inspectors of Police
(Civil) who were appointed by transfer from RSI (AR/SARCPL/APSP) for promotion to
the post of Inspector of Police (Civil).
3. Aggrieved by the above said orders, the direct recruit Police Constables (Civil)
have filed O.A.Nos. 7186/2013 and 7202 & 7203/2013 in the A.P. Administrative
Tribunal, to suspend the G.O.Ms.No.208, Home (Legal.II) Department, dt:31.08.2013
some SIs have filed an O.A. before the A.P.Administrative Tribunal and the Hon’ble
A.P.Administrative Tribunal in its Common order dated:30.1.2014 had set aside the
G.O.Ms.No.208 Home (Legal.II) Department, daed:31.08.2013, by quoting the
judgements of Supreme Court on various cases.
4. In the letter 4th read above, the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad
has requested the Government o accord permission to implement the APAT orders
dt:30.1.2014 in O.A.No.7186/2013 in batch cases.
5. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accept the
proposal of the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad to cancel the amendment
orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.208, Home (Legal.II) Department, dt:31.8.2013.

ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued the Special Rules for the
Andhra Pradesh Police (Civil) Rules.
2. In the G.O. 2nd read above, Government have issued an Amendment to the
G.O.Ms.No.137, Hom (Pol.E) Department, dt:1.6.1998 for reducing the minimum
service to that of (3) years instead of 5 years in respect of Police Constables (Civil)
who were appointed by transfer from RSI (AR/SARCPL/APSP) for promotion to the
post of Head Constable (Civil).
3. Aggrieved by the above said orders, the direct recruit Police Constables (Civil)
have filed O.A.Nos. 7193/2013 and 7132/2013 in the A.P.Administrative Tribunal, to
suspend the G.O.Ms.No.212, Home (Legal.II) Department, dt:6.09.2013 some
Constables have filed an O.A. before the A.P.Administrative Tribunal and the Hon’ble
A.P.Administrative Tribunal in its Common order dated:30.1.2014 had set aside the
G.O.Ms.No.212 Home (Legal.II) Department, daed:6.9.2013, by quoting the
judgements of Supreme Court in various cases.
4. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby implement the
orders of the Hon’ble A.P.Administrative Tribunal orders dt:30.1.2014 to cancel the
amendment orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.212, Home (Legal.II) Department,
dt:6.9.2013.
