ORDER:-
With formation of separate State of Andhra Pradesh, it is felt that new departments are to be created keeping in view the topographical, demographic and emerging requirements of the newly created State of Andhra Pradesh.

2. The Infrastructure & Investment and Energy Departments are key departments in the newly created State of Andhra Pradesh and it is felt that these two depts., need to be
merged to have better synergy and to put in place a swift decision making process. 

3. Accordingly, the Government hereby create the “Department of Energy, Infrastructure & Investment,” by merging the Infrastructure & Investment and Energy Departments of Secretariat.

4. The subjects dealt within the Infrastructure & Investment and Energy Departments of Secretariat shall be dealt with in the “Department of Energy, Infrastructure & Investment.”
The staff shall stand transferred to the newly created Department.

5. The General Administration (Cabinet) Department are requested to issue suitable amendment to the First Schedule of A.P. Government Business Rules and Secretariat Instructions.
