1) G.O. Ms. No. 429, General Administration (SC.A) Department, dated 22.12.2004.
2) G.O. Ms. No. 570, General Administration (SC.A) Department, dated 19.11.2009.
3) G.O. Ms. No. 86, General Administration (Cabinet) Department, dated 03.02.2011.

ORDER:
In the G.O. first read above, a High Powered Cabinet Sub Committee had been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Minister for Finance to take top level decisions on the issues connected with Naxalite problems in the State. The Functions of the High Powered Cabinet Sub Committee are as follows:-

a) to look at various issues connected with the rehabilitation of the surrendered extremists; 

b) to review the implementation of the policy of payment of exgratia to the next of kin of the deceased persons who were killed in the extremist violence; 

c) to review the implementation of the policy of payment of exgratia to the damages caused to the houses and movable properties etc., due to extremist violence;

d) other issues related to tackling the problems of the extremism; and 

e) to evolve new policy initiatives, if needed.
 

2.  In the G.Os second and third read above, the High Powered Cabinet Sub- Committee was reconstituted.

3.  Government have decided to reconstitute the High Powered Cabinet Sub Committee. Accordingly, the High Powered Cabinet Sub-Committee to deal with Naxalite Problems in the State is hereby reconstituted with the following:-

1) Minister for Finance : Chairman;
2) Minister for Home  : Member;
3) Minister for Revenue  : Member;
4) Minister for Tribal Welfare : Member; and
5) Minister for Roads & Buildings  : Member.
 
4.  The Principal Secretary to Government (Political), General Administration Department shall be the Convener of the Cabinet Sub Committee.
 
5.  The High Powered Cabinet Sub Committee shall meet as often as is necessary to see that all top level decisions are taken with utmost priority and also ensure that they
are implemented.
