Permission to minimize pollute in the River Godavari

O R D E R:
In the letter read above, the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has stated that the Chief Secretary to Govt., in the review meeting held on 31.10.2014 in regard to the arrangements to be taken up for the ensuing Godavari Pushkarams to be conducted from 14.07.2015 to
25.07.2015, has instructed all the line Departments to make necessary arrangements for conducting the event in a smooth and successful manner.

Further, it has been instructed to take necessary steps for curbing the entry of sullage / storm water directly into Godavari River to ensure River Godavari pollution free.

2. The Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has submitted the following works, which need to be taken up immediately to minimize the pollution of River Godavari, duly allotting necessary funds so as to execute the same on war foot basis keeping in view of the ensuing Pushkarams:

      1. Manufacture supply, laying, jointing and testing of 400             mm dia DI- K7 pumping main from Kotilingalapeta to               Aryapuram pumping station for Rs.194.21 lakh;

     2. Construction of collection well cum pump house of 4.0            M dia with required mechanical and electrical                               equipment at Kotilingalapeta for Rs.61.31 Lakh;

     3. Replacement of existing damaged 700 mm dia RCC                   sullage gravity pipe line with 700 mm dia RCC                             (Sulphate Resistant Cement) NP-4 class pipe line                         from Danavaipeta to Awa channel @ Shelton hotel for               a length of 1250 M for Rs.192.56 Lakh;

3. After careful examination of the proposal of the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, Government hereby permit him to execute the works
mentioned at para-2 above.

4. The Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
