O R D E R :

 The Commissioner Health and Family Welfare, Telangana State Hyderabad in the reference 1st read above has reported that there is a need to constitute a new State Supervisory Board for implementation of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal
Diagnostic Techniques Act 1994 in Telangana State. Accordingly orders were issued in the reference 2nd read above constituting the State Supervisory Board under
Section 16(a) of the PC&PNDT Act 1994.

2. According to section 17(2) of the P.C. & Preconception and Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1994, the State Government shall appoint, by notification in the Official Gazette, one or more Appropriate Authorities for the whole or part of the State for the purposes of this Act having regard to the intensity of the problem of pre-natal sex determination leading to female foethcide.

3. Government after careful examination of the matter, have decided to constitute the District level appropriate authority for implementation of the PreConception
and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act 1994.

4. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Telangana, Gazette,Date.02-01-2015. 

NOTIFICATION - I
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 17 of the Pre Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of sex selection) Act, 1994 (Central Act No.57 of 1994) the Government of Telangana, hereby
reconstitute the following District Level Appropriate Authority to each District in Telangana State for the purpose of the said Act.

I) DISTRICT LEVEL APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY
(A) STRUCTURE:

5. The authority shall carry out its functions as per the provision of the Act and Rules there under.

6. The Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, Telangana, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter.
