O R D E R:-

              In the G.O. 1st read above Government have issued orders for formation of  Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and wherein the Government have appointed the  Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer and One more position of the Director of the Corporation.  Thus   APSSDC  has been in existence since 10-09-2014.

2.      In the G.O. 2nd read above, the Government have created  a new Department - “Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation” to achieve the objective and goal of Skill Development,  Entrepreneurship  & Innovation with coordinated efforts and convergence of services  with allied departments.

3.      A comprehensive presentation was made to the Government on 09-02-2015 about the Skill Development and Training Activities based on the Hardware & Software by SIEMENS Company and Design Tech and their intent in collaborating with the Government of Andhra Pradesh as was done in Gujarat State by the establishment of SIEMENS Centre of Excellence, Technical Skill Development Institutions and Skill Development Centres. Accordingly, Government  has  decided  that:

4.      A cluster consists of (1) Centre of Excellence (COE) and (5) Technical Skill Development Institutions (TSDIs) and Skill Development Centres (SDCs). 

5.       In the G.O.  3rd  read   above,  permission  was accorded  to  Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation  to enter into MoU with SIEMENS  and Design Tech  and  sanctioned grant  of  Rs. 370.78  crore towards  the  project, i.e., establishment  of  6 clusters.    Accordingly,   MoU  has been entered with SIEMENS and Design Tech Companies.

6.      In the 4th read  above, i.e., on  05-09-2015,  during the course of  discussions   on  the  status  pertaining   to  SIEMENS  Project,  it  was  decided   that the  action  be  initiated  to  move  the  project  without  delay  keeping   in  view  the collaborate   purpose  of  the  project  as   already   agreed   upon   and  stick  to  the schedule  as  per  the  agreement, as decided by the Council of Ministers.

   7.       The  Government after  careful  examination,  have  decided  the formation of Two Committees  to  monitor the  SIEMENS  Project  programme and also for scrutinizing and     identifying  the  Skill  Development  Centres  for  imparting  training  under the SIEMENS project.

A)     Monitoring Committee to track the proposal of implementation of  SIEMENS Project

8.       The Committee will be responsible for monitoring the project on a fortnightly basis and a monthly review with the Honourable Chief Minister.

(B) Centre Selection Committee:-  for scrutinizing and  identifying the SIEMENS Skill Development Centres for imparting training under the SIEMENS project consisting of the following Members :

 10.    The Secretary to Government, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship  & Innovation Department & Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh State Skill  Development Corporation, Hyderabad  shall take further necessary action.
