O R D E R:
In the G.O. 1st read above,
Government have issued orders declaring the General Holidays under N.I.Act,
1881 for the year 2016.
2) In
the letter 2nd read above, the Convener, United Forum of Bank Unions State
Unit, Hyderabad has requested to declare 12.09.2016 (Monday) as holiday on the
Occasion of Bakrid.
3) In
the reference 3rd read above, the Chief Executive Officer, Telangana State
Wakf Board, Hyderabad, has recommended to declare the General Holiday on the
occasion of Bakrid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) on 13.09.2016 (Tuesday) instead of 12.09.2016 (Monday) as
per sighting of the moon.
4) The
Government, after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to declare
the Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid on 13.09.2016 (Tuesday) under the Explanation to Section 25 of the
Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881(Central Act XXVI of 1881). Accordingly, the
following notification is issued and shall be published in the extra-ordinary
Gazette of Telangana State:
NOTIFICATION
In
partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.3193, General
Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 05.12.2015, the Government hereby
declare 13.09.2016 (Tuesday) as Holiday on the occasion of Bakrid, under
Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

notifying the General Holidays and Optional Holidays, the Government hereby
declare 13.09.2016 (Tuesday) as General Holiday on the occasion of ‘Bakrid Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha), instead of 12.09.2016 (Monday), declared earlier.
