The following notification will be published
in an extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 03-11-2014.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reform Act, 1998
(Act No.30 of 1998) read with section 85(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Act
36 of 2003), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby constitute a Selection
Committee with the following, for selection of persons for appointment of two
Members of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission:
(i)
Sri
Justice R.Ramanujam, Retired Judge of High Court of Andhra
Pradesh. ……. Chairman
(ii) Chief
Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh … Member
(iii) Chairman of the Central Electricity Authority …… Member
2. The Secretary to Government (FAC), Energy
Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh shall be the Convenor for the above
Selection Committee as specified under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the
Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reform Act, 1998.
3. The Selection Committee shall finalize
the panel of two suitable persons for the each post of Members in the
Commission as per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reform Act,
1998 and the Electricity Act, 2003 and as per the provisions contained in
G.O.Ms.No.35, Energy (Power.III) Department, dated 01-08-2014 and also as per the Andhra
Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Appointment of Chairman and Members)
Rules, 1999 and shall submit to the Government the said panel alongwith the
details and information prescribed under sub-section (3) of section 5 of the
Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reform Act, 1998.
