In
the reference 1st cited above the Founder General Secretary, M/s.
Prajwala, has stated that Prajwala is one of the largest anti-trafficking NGO,
working to combat sex trafficking for the last 19 years and they have produced
Telugu Feature Film in association with Suntouch Productions titled “Naa
Bangaru Talli (My dearest daughter)” and this film has a good social message
against of trafficking of innocent women/children and sex trade. Therefore she
has requested the Government for 100% Entertainment Tax Exemption for the said
feature film.

In the reference 2nd read above the Commissioner, Information & Public Relations has furnished the recommendations of the Screening Committee for grant of exemption of Entertainment Tax in respect of Telugu feature film “Naa Bangaru Talli (My dearest daughter)” as follows:
In the reference 2nd read above the Commissioner, Information & Public Relations has furnished the recommendations of the Screening Committee for grant of exemption of Entertainment Tax in respect of Telugu feature film “Naa Bangaru Talli (My dearest daughter)” as follows:
“The film “Naa Bangaru
Talli” technically is excellent. The
performance of the Artists, Technicians are good. The subject which has handled
by the Director is very sensitive and needs encouragement from all the
corners. The social evils which are
burning in so many families in the State is boldly attempted by the producer.
We feel unanimously to extend support from the Government to encourage such a
kind of film makers.”

In the circumstances stated above,
Government, after careful consideration of the report of the Committee
and in exercise of powers conferred under Section-8 of the Andhra Pradesh State
Entertainment Tax Act, 1939, read with rule 33 of the APET Rules, 1939 hereby
exempt Telugu feature film “Naa Bangaru Talli” from payment of Entertainment
Tax under the said Act.
4. The
Commissioner of Commercial Tax, Telangana State, Hyderabad is requested to take
necessary action in the matter.
6. This
order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their
U.O.No.268/EBS.VII/2014, Dt.20-12-2014.
