Global crude oil price of Indian Basket was US$ 47.95 per bbl on 08.01.2015
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 47.95 per barrel (bbl) on 08.01.2015. This was higher than the price of US$ 46.97 per bbl on previous publishing day of 07.01.2015.
In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket increased to Rs 3019.41 per bbl on 08.01.2015 as compared to Rs 2980.25 per bbl on 07.01.2015. Rupee closed stronger at Rs 62.97 per US$ on 08.01.2015 as against Rs 63.45 per US$ on 07.01.2015.

Over Half the Country LPG Consumers (7.63 Crore) Join Pahal
Over half the country LPG consumers (7.63 Crore) have joined PAHAL. So far Rs. 1260 Crore have been transferred. Consumers in rural areas are joining in large numbers. In last one month more than 40% consumers from Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, UP, Assam, Meghalaya have joined the scheme showing maximum growth. Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, J&K, Arunachal Pradesh are close second with growth rate of above 35%.
