ORDER:-

                      In their representation 4th read above, the President, A.P. Animal
Husbandry Officers Association has represented that, in Animal Husbandry
Department it is very difficult to manage Veterinary Hospitals without para staff
and office subordinates. He has requested to fill up all the vaccines of para staff
and office subordinates in veterinary hospitals so that proper treatment will be
given to the animals.

2. In the letters 5th and 6th read above, among other things the Head of the
Department, Animal Husbandry Department, A.P., Hyderabad has stated that,
there is acute shortage of Veterinary Assistants in the Department. It is very
essential to fill up the Veterinary Assistant posts, as the Veterinary Assistant will
assist the Graduate Veterinarians in Veterinary Institutions such as Veterinary
Dispensary, Veterinary Hospitals, Veterinary Polyclinic etc., in carrying out day to
day activities. Veterinary Assistant also conduct vaccination in livestock,
deworming in sheep & goat, participates in extension campaigns, primary sector
mission programmes under the guidance of concerned graduate veterinarians. All
the Joint Directors (AH) have expressed difficulty in carrying out different
vaccination programmes, fodder development and other activities related to
primary sector mission at field level, due to shortage of Para veterinary staff. The
Head of the Department, Animal Husbandry Department, A.P. has therefore
requested the Government to accord permission to fill up 700 vacant posts of
Veterinary Assistant by direct recruitment or by contract basis whichever is
feasible, so that departmental activities will not hamper & to avoid public
criticism in rural areas.

3. After careful examination, Government hereby accord permission to Head of
the Department, Animal Husbandry Department, A.P., Hyderabad to fill up four
hundred (400) posts of Veterinary Assistants in the Animal Husbandry
Department as per the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Animal Husbandry
Subordinate Services Revised Rules issued in the G.O. first and second read
above and also as per the selection procedure specified in G.O third read above.

4. The Head of the Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Andhra
Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter by
following due procedures.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (HR-I) Department vide
their U.O.No.269/A3/HR.I/15, Dated:12-08-2015.
